Ron Perkins President Ron Perkins, founder and President of Wholesale America Mortgage, Inc. is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, CA. He attended USF on a baseball scholarship, and graduated with a degree in Psychology. After getting his feet wet in the loan industry, Perkins felt there was a need for a company with a determined focus on comprehensive problem solving for customers with special circumstances. In addition, he felt from what he had seen that even customers with relatively simple financial needs weren't always getting the best choice for their long and short-term financial plans. In 1994, his dream of a customer-focused financial company came to fruition with the founding of Wholesale America Mortgage. "I wanted to prove that this business could be done keeping the customer's best interests in the forefront at all times. And, in fact, we have. It's amazing when you take the time to consider a customer's total financial picture and find a solution with their best interests in mind. The rest takes care of itself." Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He builds motorcycles as a hobby in his spare time. Back to Top Kevin Bernal Chief Operating Officer Kevin Bernal started with WAM in 1996 and since then, he has been an instrumental part of the growth and structure of WAM. Not only has he managed the departments of Human Resources, Operations and Marketing; he is pivotal in the day to day happenings and successes of the company. On top of all of his responsibilities, he works on building loans for his clients. Basically, he’s done it all. "My goal is to ensure that we service every client with professionalism and excellence. I want every client to experience the advantages of working with a major lender, but still receive the personal care of a local bank." Back to Top Christy Mathers Chief Banking Officer Christy Mathers has been in the Mortgage Industry for over 11 years. During her career she has spent time in many areas of the business including account executive, funding, underwriting, document drawing and shipping - which made her a natural for Operations Manager for Wholesale America Mortgage. "Of the places I've worked, Wholesale America Mortgage is the only one that has truly put customers first. That's something I can feel good about." In her spare time, Christy likes to spend time with her husband and two children. Back to Top Lily Nguyen Chief Financial Officer Lily has worked in various areas of accounting for over 10 years, the last 6 years of which were in the mortgage industry. She has been with WAM for 3.5 years. In addition to the financial reporting for all branches and state agencies, the Accounting Department's other responsibilities include payroll and benefit administration, licensing, compliance, obtaining new lenders, investors, and warehouse lines. "Our loan agents are always full of heart and a wealth of knowledge. They will always put the concerns and wishes of borrowers first and foremost. For this reason, WAM continues to grow at an unparalleled pace. Let us take care of you so that you can take care of the little things in life." Upon graduation from high school in 1995, she attended the University of California, Berkeley on various academic scholarships and is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Finance. In her spare time, Lily enjoys reading, fishing, and playing poker. Back to Top Kim Bean Vice President of Sales Kim Bean has been in the Mortgage industry for 6 years, is a licensed realtor and a notary. She has been with WAM for 2.5 years as the Production Manager. She tracks all the loans in the loan officers pipelines. She assists the agents in sourcing their loans, works on conditions, and does anything else to help them get their loans funded. "I like the people I get to work with, the advanced lending power WAM has to offer, and the advanced technology that is here." In her free time Kim spends as much time with her family as she can. She water skis in the summer and goes to a lot of Raider games and concerts. Kim has 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. Back to Top Tracy Perkins Vice President of Production Tracy has been with WAM since 1997. Tracy started as a receptionist and worked her way up to Processing Manager. She currently manages the Loan Processors and assures all the files are in compliance. “The people around me make it very enjoyable to work at WAM.” Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to have her first child in May.
